Lang Khaii is a quiet little area on the south east part of Koh Tao. No loud ferries pass by this part of the island, and noisy longtail boats hardly ever make it this far. The road to Lang Khaii does not pass through to anywhere else, so the only traffic is the 10 or so people living there. Sometimes you can go all day without hearing a single truck or motorbike.
The land looks to the south and has great views of Shark Island and Koh Pha-Ngan. On a clear day you can see Koh Samui perfectly.
Until recently, this area was one of the most inaccessable on the island. The old road was nearly undriveable part of the year. Now thanks to the new government road plus the new road in Lang Khaii valley, the trip to Mae Haad takes about 3 minutes and is almost completely concrete. There is 24H government electric already installed, and there are neighbors willing to sell water from their wells. Additionally, each plot of land has a flat area which would be suitable for well drilling.
The neighbors are all very friendly with one another, and come together from time to time to improve the area when its needed.
The land is located about 3 km from the main pier.
